Come be engaged in a small group and go deeper with others in Biblical community. We offer a “traditional” Sunday School class at 9:15am on Sunday mornings. Or check out a community group meeting at different times throughout the week.
Our heart as a ministry is to give back to our church, community, and the world. We believe that Jesus came to serve the world and we want to follow in his footsteps by helping people in a variety of service opportunities while sharing the good news with them.
I’m a college student and I want to get plugged in. What should I do?
Come to either our 9:15am small group on Sundays or the 10:30am gathering (or both). This is the easiest way to meet our leaders and find out more about how to get involved.
Do I need to become a member of The Oaks or can I keep my membership at my “home” church?
The issue here is not of being a member or not, but of being committed to one local body and partnering with that local church to do ministry. Sadly, too many students hop around from church to church and never actually get the full value, benefit, and accountability of a local church. We encourage students to find and a church (whether it is our church or not) and get plugged in as soon as possible. For more information on membership join us for the Next Steps Class.
I need to earn some ministry or community service hours for a scholarship. Can I do that at The Oaks?
Absolutely. We have plenty of different areas to serve and not only gain the hours you need, but fulfill your calling to serve as all Christians have. Contact a staff member for more information on areas of service.
Welcome to The Oaks College Ministry! Our purpose as a ministry is not unlike any other ministry should be, to see people come to know Christ, develop a deep and passionate desire for Jesus, and that He would be glorified through it al! We know that this an exciting time of your life and we want to be a church that helps students become who God wants them to be.
